NATIONAL RECRUITMENT AGENCY – AN APPRAISAL
India, officially known as the Republic of India, in Hindi is termed as Bharat. In terms of area, it's considered to be the second most populous country and therefore the most populous democracy within the world. The population of India is about1, 380,004,385 with a worldwide share of 17.71%. The world sex ratio is 1.018 %, which convey that in India we have got slightly more men than woman. The population is increasing so the needs of the people in day to day life are also increasing.
The people become more attentive to their rights and duties asserted to them. Every individual of India wishes to own a government job so as to secure their upcoming future. People whether it’s being male or female, both are attempting to achieve certain heights for completing their wishes by crossing hurdles at every path of their life.
If one applies for any post or government jobs they have to undergo many stages of rounds, including a written exam, personal interview, computer exams, and medical exams and so on, creating lots of tensions in their mind thinking of varied tactics and ways of cracking the exam. Out of this huge population of India, there are about twenty-five million aspirants who apply for multiple government jobs in passing succeeding years. An individual who applies for every exam separately had to pay fees for every recruiting agency. The individuals even have to travel long, far distances for appearing in various exams at their given centres. These things seem to create a burden on the heads of the applicants as well as on the enlisting agencies as it leads to avoidable and repetitive expenditure, law and order, security related issues, place related issues and rules and regulations on to be followed for the proper performance of the exams.
In order to put an end to these present major issue faced by the aspirants the Cabinet ministers including the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, gave their assent to line up a system of NATIONAL RECRUITMENT AGENCY which ultimately will benefit ample government job aspirants by providing relaxation in various ways to tackle their problems and needs.
This pace will generate lots of attention and engrossment among job aspirants, students, and educationalists by visualizing it as a specialized body, bringing the state of the art mechanism and best practices to the division of central government enrollment.
Common Eligibility Test (CET)
The national recruitment agency will hold a Common Eligibility Test for all on:-
Non -Technical Jobs (Group B and Group C).
This test will be conducted at the place of prelims exams for all the government Departments. The score of this test will be utilized by different organizations to pick the candidate for the next level of examination for the posts mentioned. It will be conducted twice in an exceedingly year and also the scores provided in these tests will be valid for the next three years. This decision was made so as to curb the difficulties faced by the aspirants.
It will be lead by the Chairman who will be of the rank of Secretary to the Government of India.
This agency will include the spokespersons from the:-
Ministry of finance/department of economic services,
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC),
Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) and
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS).
1. Recurring separately for multiple exams is being put an end to. The aspirants’ now on, will only have to appear once for the Common Eligibility Test (CET).
2. CET is a Preliminary Test whose scores shall be valid for 3 consecutive years and will be taken into consideration from the date of the declaration of the results. The candidates qualifying CET will be eligible for the mains exam which will be followed by the Personal Test and the Medical Test resulting in the reduction in the time taken wholly for any recruitment.
3. Separate CET for 10th, 12th, and Graduates will be conducted with each stage followed by their typical syllabus which will function as the preliminary screening test for that level.
4. The candidates qualifying the CET will be eligible to appear for Mains Exam once every year for 3 consecutive years.
5. Relaxation to the candidates of SC/ST/OBC Category will be adhered according to the policy of the Government with no bar on the number of attempts taken by the aspirant lead by the upper ordinances.
6. The aspirants from now on by passing of this agency has a positive side i.e. has a right to relinquish a choice of centres. The centres choice is total of the aspirants’ decision.
7. Worthwhile the candidates will not have to bear an additional expense which one uses for going to their examination centres, protect one from the financial burden.
8. Proposal predicted to ease the access to aspirants residing in rural areas as the government have sanctioned a sump of 1517.57 Crores for fixing exams infrastructure in 117 Districts with a massive number of aspirants.
9. A gift for the female candidate – as this will benefit the feminine that generally is being dependent on their Guardian for accompanying to the examination centres. The centres at every district are considered to be the gift for the female aspirant
10. The language of CET will be convenient as per the regions of the Country. As in present days, the exams are basically taken in two languages i.e. English and Hindi.
This step by the government has been considered as a boon to the aspirants. The youths i.e. the future of tomorrow will not have to take the burden of giving so many exams every year, visiting new exams centres for every exam. They will not have Dig around through every minute detail of every topic, scratching their heads every time as this decision has put an end to multiple exams. It is been considered by the youngsters as the big boost to transparency. The common benchmark is being set by the Government of India which will ultimately fall in the bags of the aspirants.
This drastic step taken by the government under the presence of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is taken into account as the boon for all the youth of the nations as this decision will ultimately benefit the job-seeking youth of the country. It will hold the uniform transformative recruitment process as it has specified the due right to the duty seeking youth by ensuring transparency and ease in providing recruitment and making one employed without any form of discrimination in the society. Each and every district will have exams centres with exams in multiple languages which is a relief for many aspirants who possess different language. Significantly, the score provided within the common eligibility test will be valid for the following 3 years which will reduce the financial burden and greatly benefit the candidate as some fall variety of financial issues in filling the forms of various exams.
